Description to the work: The idea for the picture "24.08.2018" was born in 2018 during the visit of the Independence celebration in Kiev. For days the course of the parade in the center of Kiev was rehearsed with all military units. Whole parts of the city were cordoned off and blocked by military vehicles, while a ceasefire was ordered in the east of Ukraine. Below the Independence Monument, the parade was celebrated by high officials on honorary stands. -The independence statue could not "watch" this and left its place frustrated- In my opinion, a beautiful utopia. Peace and independence cannot be achieved and maintained by force of arms.
